Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data onevsx collects when you sign in and use the site, why, and what we do — and do not — do with it. It complements our Terms of Service.

1. Who we are

onevsx is provided by the onevsx team. For any privacy question or request, contact movingtolaca@gmail.com.

2. What we collect when you sign in

When you sign in with Steam or FACEIT, we receive and store a minimal profile:

  • From Steam (via “Sign in through Steam” and Steam’s public Web API): your SteamID (your public 64-bit Steam identifier), and your public persona name and avatar.
  • From FACEIT (via “Log in with FACEIT”, scopes openid email profile, and FACEIT’s public data API): your FACEIT account id, nickname, avatar, email address, and the SteamID linked to your FACEIT account.
  • Account record: the above, plus an access tier (the lowest by default), timestamps, and a record that you accepted our Terms (which version, and when).

We use the SteamID to recognise that a Steam sign-in and a FACEIT sign-in belong to the same person, so your account stays unified across both.

3. Public match and demo data

onevsx processes publicly available CS2 demo and match data. Players who appear in a demo are identified by their public in-game identifier (SteamID). This is public, gaming-related, non-sensitive data, and it may include you whether or not you have an account.

4. Technical data

Our servers keep limited technical information — such as your IP address and basic request metadata — used only for security, abuse-prevention and keeping the Service running. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.

5. What we never collect or access

Because we use the official Steam and FACEIT sign-in systems, we never receive and never store:

  • your Steam or FACEIT password;
  • access to your Steam inventory, items, skins, trades, wallet or purchases;
  • your Steam Guard codes; or
  • any payment information.

The temporary access token we receive during sign-in is used once to read the public profile above and is then discarded — we do not keep it. As a result, even in the unlikely event our database were breached, it could not be used to access or move anyone’s in-game items.

6. Why we use your data

To create and operate your account; to recognise you across Steam and FACEIT; to show you the relevant parts of the Service; and to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

7. Legal bases

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (given when you accept our Terms at sign-in, and withdrawable by deleting your account) and on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service.

8. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it with advertisers. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (for example hosting, database and object-storage providers) that process data on our behalf under their own safeguards. We may disclose data where required by law.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data we hold about you by contacting movingtolaca@gmail.com; we will delete it except where we must retain something to comply with the law. Public match data that is not personal to you may remain.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise them, contact movingtolaca@gmail.com.

11. Cookies

We use a single, strictly-necessary sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. It is HTTP-only and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. We do not use third-party advertising cookies that identify you personally.

12. Children

onevsx is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under the minimum age of digital consent in their country. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

13. International processing

onevsx may be operated from, and your data processed in, countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to protect your data in line with applicable law.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by a new version that we ask you to accept at sign-in. Questions or requests: movingtolaca@gmail.com. See also our Terms of Service.
