Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of onevsx (the “Service”). By using the website, creating an account, signing in (including through Steam or FACEIT), or clicking “I agree”, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What onevsx is

onevsx is an independent project that turns Counter-Strike 2 demo files into multi-angle (multi-POV) video playback and searchable situations. It is currently provided free of charge by the onevsx team. It is an early-stage, non-commercial project; nothing in or around the Service constitutes professional advice of any kind.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding agreement and to consent to the processing of your data where you live (at least 16, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher). The Service is not directed at children.

3. Accounts and signing in

You sign in using your existing Steam or FACEIT account through their official sign-in systems. We create an account that stores a minimal profile (described in our Privacy Policy). New accounts are created at the lowest access tier; any elevated access is granted by us manually. You are responsible for everything done through your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the Service.

4. Your Steam / FACEIT account security

We use the official “Sign in through Steam” (OpenID) and “Log in with FACEIT” (OAuth) systems. This means:

  • You enter your password only on Steam’s or FACEIT’s own website — never on ours. We never see or store your password.
  • Signing in tells us only who you are (your Steam/FACEIT id) and basic public profile information. It does not give us — or anyone — access to your Steam inventory, items, skins, trades, wallet, purchases, Steam Guard, or the ability to act on your account.
  • We will never ask you for your Steam password, your Steam Web API key, or a trade link / trade token, and the Service has no feature that can trade or move your items. Any website — including one pretending to be us — that asks you for these is trying to scam you. Do not provide them.

You remain solely responsible for your own account security, including enabling Steam Guard / two-factor authentication and reviewing any trade offers you accept. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for any loss — including loss of in-game items or skins — resulting from phishing, your own actions, or the compromise of your Steam, FACEIT or other third-party accounts.

5. No affiliation with Valve or FACEIT

onevsx is an independent, unofficial project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or approved by Valve Corporation or by FACEIT. Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike 2, CS2, Steam, FACEIT and related names, marks and logos are trademarks of their respective owners; any reference to them is for descriptive purposes only (nominative fair use).

6. Content, demos and data

onevsx processes publicly available CS2 match and demo data, which identifies players by their public in-game identifiers. How we handle data about you is described in our Privacy Policy. You must not use the Service to infringe anyone’s rights.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misrepresent onevsx as an official Valve or FACEIT product, or suggest affiliation with them;
  • disrupt, overload, probe or attack the Service or its infrastructure;
  • scrape or harvest data except as expressly permitted;
  • circumvent access tiers or security controls; or
  • use the Service for anything unlawful.

8. Service provided “as is”

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, free of charge, without warranties of any kind — express, implied or statutory — including any warranty of accuracy, reliability, availability, security, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any data or statistics it shows are accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the onevsx team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, in-game items or skins, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the Service — even if advised of the possibility. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for a free Service, is zero) or EUR 50. Your sole and exclusive remedy for any dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the onevsx team from any claim, demand or expense arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes, suspension and termination

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time. When we make a material change to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, we will ask you to accept the updated version the next time you sign in. The version in force when you use the Service applies to you. We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, including for breach of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by International, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you additional rights that cannot be waived. As the Service is currently free and pre-launch, a definitive governing law and dispute forum will be fixed before any paid launch.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect, and the unenforceable provision is replaced by an enforceable one that comes closest to its intent.
